What makes a news report different from a written report
News Report
- Based on time (three minutes)
- Must include a few quotes
- Needs to be presented clearly (speak slowly and loud enough without yelling
- Needs a "hook" and a "close"
Written Report
- Based on length (two pages, 500 words, four paragraphs)
- Sometimes includes quotes, but doesn't have to
- Needs to be neat (usually typed up, with your name, keeping the paper clean and unwrinkled)
- Needs an introductory paragraph and conclusion
